Jhilke Circle: a community of home for Nepali voices and everyone who loves Nepal
On this page
Jhilke Circle is our creator programme, and we think of it as a community of home. Jhilke Studio makes prints of Nepal for people who live far from it: trek route maps, single Nepali and Sanskrit words, folk proverbs. Jhilke Circle is how people who share that feeling can bring the prints to their own audience and earn from it.
What is Jhilke Circle?
Jhilke Circle is a creator programme that runs through Shopify Collabs. Each member gets a personal link and a code. Followers who use them get a discount on their order, and the member earns a commission on the prints they buy. Both rates depend on the member's tier, and the current numbers are always in the Circle terms.
We keep the numbers on the Circle terms page only, so this post never goes out of date.
Why did we start a creator circle?
Jhilke means a glint of light. The studio started as a way to put a glint of Nepal on the wall when home is far away: a route someone walked, a word a grandmother used, a proverb heard on a festival evening. Things like that travel best from one person to another, and Jhilke Circle lets us share them with people who already carry them.
The studio is run by Amrit, who is Nepali and lives in Portugal and misses home too. We do not run paid ads. We would rather be found through people who mean what they post, and pay them for it.
Who can join Jhilke Circle?
Nepali voices come first: creators from Nepal who live in Europe or elsewhere abroad and talk to people who miss home. The circle is also open to anyone who loves Nepal, including trekkers and travellers who have walked these routes. You can live anywhere, but your audience should be able to order in the EU, because that is where we ship.
A small account whose followers ask where the print on the wall came from suits us better than a large account that posts anything.
How do Jhilke Circle members earn?
When a follower buys through your link or code, Shopify Collabs credits the sale to you. Your commission is held for a period that covers returns and cancellations, then paid out through Collabs. Your tier moves with your sales over a rolling window, so the rate rises when your audience buys more and can fall back when sales slow.
Members can also have a short page of their own at circle.jhilkestudio.com with their name, which sends visitors to the shop with their link already applied. Every approved member joins a members email list that carries programme news, changes to the terms and payout updates. It is separate from our shop newsletter.
Every post that can earn commission has to say so clearly, with the platform's paid partnership label or a tag like #ad, as the terms explain.
What should Jhilke Circle members post about?
Whatever is true for you. You might share the trek you walked and the map of it on your wall, or pick one Nepali word and say what it means in your family. The prints give you something real to show, from trek route maps to one-word prints and Nepali proverbs.
If Dashain or Tihar away from home means something to you, our piece about Dashain away from home is a good place to start.
What if I just love the prints?
You do not need an audience to belong here. Share a print with someone who misses home, or join the Glint List for a short note when a new piece or trail goes up. It is the easiest way to hear first when a new route, word or proverb arrives in the shop.
