Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the EU only. Every piece is printed by our EU print partner, so there are no customs fees, import duties, or delivery surprises.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on orders over €40. Below that, the fee is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order.
How long does it take?
Every piece is printed to order, so allow around 3–6 working days for production and delivery combined, door to door.
Returns & guarantee
What is your return policy?
Standard pieces come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it's not right, send it back within 30 days for a refund.
Are custom pieces returnable?
Custom word commissions are made specifically for you, so they fall outside the standard 30-day guarantee unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
My print arrived damaged — what now?
We're sorry to hear that. Email us a photo at returns@jhilkestudio.com and we'll reprint and reship right away, no charge.
Can I cancel or change my order after I've placed it?
Email support@jhilkestudio.com as soon as you can. Since every piece is printed to order, we can only change or cancel before it goes into production — once it's printed, our standard 30-day return policy applies instead.
Products & printing
What paper and inks do you use?
Our Fine Art Matte finish uses 200gsm premium matte paper with a soft, non-reflective surface, printed with pigment inks — the finish our fine linework and Devanagari type suit best.
Are the trek maps accurate?
Yes — each route starts as real GPS trail data from treks we've walked, then is redrawn by hand into a single fine-art line. It's a portrait of the journey, not a navigation map.
Can I request a custom word?
Absolutely. We take custom commissions for a single word that matters to you — reach out via the contact page and we'll prepare a custom Devanagari piece.
Are the Sanskrit and Nepali quotes accurate?
Yes — every word and quote is sourced and checked before it goes to print, with extra native-speaker review on anything more complex, like Sanskrit shlokas or folk proverbs.
Framing & finishes
What finishes are available?
It depends on the collection. Trek Route Maps come as a Fine Art Matte Print, Wood-Framed Fine Art Print, or Acrylic Glass Print. Our word and quote collections (One Word, Amar Vani, Boli) offer a Fine Art Matte Print, Wood-Framed Fine Art Print, or Wood-Hanger Fine Art Print instead of acrylic.
Do framed prints include hanging hardware?
Yes — Wood-Framed, Acrylic Glass, and Wood-Hanger finishes all ship ready to hang, hardware included. The Fine Art Matte Print ships unframed, ready for your own frame.
Will my print fit a standard frame?
Yes. All three sizes — Small (30×40cm), Medium (50×70cm), and Large (70×100cm) — are cut to standard EU frame dimensions, so off-the-shelf frames fit perfectly.
Ordering & customization
Can I personalize a print with my own name or a date?
Not yet — personalization (adding a name, date, or coordinates) is in the works. For now, our custom word commissions let you request a single meaningful word made just for you.
Can I suggest a trek route or design you don't have?
Yes, please do — email suggestions@jhilkestudio.com and we'll add it to the list. We're always expanding the collection.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?
Yes — email support@jhilkestudio.com with what you need and we'll get back to you.
Do your prices include VAT, or are there hidden fees at checkout?
The price you see at checkout is the final price. We don't add hidden fees, and if VAT applies to your order, it's already included in the price shown.
About Jhilke Studio
Who's behind Jhilke Studio?
Jhilke Studio is run by Amrit, a Nepali maker living in Europe. It started as a search for wall art that actually looked and read like home — now it's a small studio bringing that same story to yours.
Is the artwork AI-generated?
No — every piece is original. Trek route maps are hand-built vector artwork from real trail and elevation data (route data © OpenStreetMap contributors); word prints are original typographic designs. No AI-generated imagery, ever.
Is your production actually more sustainable, or is that just marketing?
As much as we can make it: every piece is printed to order by our EU partner, so nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing ships from overseas, and nothing goes to landfill because it didn't sell.
